North Karelia Chamber of Commerce was established in 1954 and operates in the North Karelia region. It has approximately 680 members who generate the majority of the region’s corporate turnover.
North Karelia Chamber of Commerce ensures that our region provides its members with a nationally and internationally competitive business environment that enables companies to succeed and grow. Based on analytical assessments of significant economic trends and developments, we highlight development ideas and policy proposals that are important for safeguarding and strengthening the competitiveness of our region.
North Karelia must have a sufficiently strong role in regional administration, and the region must consist of strong and functional municipal entities. In 2026, the key priorities of North Karelia Chamber of Commerce’s advocacy work relate to accessibility, attracting investments, skills and competence development, and internationalisation.

We speed up companies’ trade processes with documents issued by Chambers of Commerce, such as Certificates of Origin and ATA Carnet customs documents. We also serve companies in practical business-related issues.
